From previous post it is obvious I love Shark Tank. We sometimes forget that it is a TV show to create ratings. People love to watch other people crash and burn and this often makes good TV. A an entrepreneur I have crashed and burned many times. However I have never had the opportunity to do it on national TV. It must truly be an experience, knowing that a few months from the pitch date you will crash and burn in front of millions of people. But isn't that what being an entrepreneur all about? Risking it all and accepting the consequences.
On the last Shark Tank there was a pitch with the CEO of Cheek'd. It did not go well, however I have seen much worse. Yahoo did an interview with her afterwards. In this interview she stated that a therapist came to see her after the taping. That is a good idea for the next time we pitch, to have a therapist on stand-by.
Read the interview, she get's my respect for hanging in there. For giving it her all. Read the comments, they continue to bash her. I instead celebrate her trying and keeping the entrepreneur spirit.
The interview
